:Rules for Gap Tag:
The rules are very simple:

1. Players (2+) gather outside your local Gap retail store, out of sight of the employees within. The ideal time to play Gap Tag is when a store has a roughly equal ratio of customers to employees. It's no fun to play during christmas shopping season, for example, since then you're just rubbing denim and getting sparse amounts of exercise. If you don't have a Gap in your area, who are you, and why are you reading my blog? Do you think I'm pretty? Amusing?

2. Each player enters the store alone, attempts to touch the jeans that reside in the very back of a standard Gap-layout, and return to the awaiting group without a store employee asking if they can help the player.

3. Anyone who is approached by a store employee is out. Anyone who isn't is considered 1337 for the day.

It's not much of a competition really. It's just a brilliant way to mock and exploit company training and see how unapproachable you are for the typical denizen of corporatewhoredom. Thanks to the ol' ball and chain for the knowledge.
