A Swank New Look for Blogger
...that I'm sure everyone's talking about.

I'm most pleased with yesterday, as it involved not only fireworks purchased at Target, but a massive waterfight that got taken to the streets in Maura's car which resulted in the intentional spraying of some guy in a topless H2-brand Hummer (I have little sympathy for you Hummer-folk), as well as the unintentional spraying of Old Man Nipples, an elderly man in a white shirt who just drove straight through my stream of childish, water-propelled joy with an open window. He backed up to chastise us ("What's the meaning of this?"), as we were at a stoplight, but it turned green and he peeled off, ostensibly content in my look of abject apology; I was pretty amazed at my (mis)fortune at getting it straight in his driver's window, and definitely wasn't planning on doing so. The madness then moved to 1A, where a popper fight took place inside the living room. Luckily, people aren't hard enough surfaces to have a popper go off on any really sensitive bits. So, we mostly just swatted them around with our shoes. Good times, good times.

Yesterday, though, was another trip out west to Schwenksville and Camp Kweebec to see Julie, who's embroiled in a lover's quarrel straight out of Middle School. I just sort of hope things sort themselves out, and old Tedward stops being a wang, though I can sort of see both sides of the dispute. Whatever. Ask them about it, if it's interesting to you. The drives there and back, however, are always most pleasant for Leah and I, and always seem to be filled with Belle & Sebastian, not that I'm complaining for a second.

I'd really like to go swimming this evening, provided I can find anyone to come with before 7:30, when it supposedly closes. Crosstian's samples started coming today: I got a big box of laboratory detergent from a company called Alconox, which I tore open in front of him. It doesn't quite compare with his snuff boxes, which he got for himself. The two of us threw more poppers down the 3-story rotunda in the new science building when a tour was walking by. Life, as they say, is good, aided in no small part by the most excellent chefs in the Coop, where lunch was a grilled cheese with tomato and garlic most well done.

As far as superficial bits go, my hair's being much more obedient after its brush with fade-hood, just in time for a trip north ::glows:: I'm sporting a brand new wristband from the dorks at Hot Topic emblazoned with the oldschool (Nintendo) logo on it. I've sort of taken to watching what I eat, but that's really nothing more than me deciding not to go insane with junk food. I still eat tons of it, but I sort of compensate for it by not eating real meals and taking a multivitamin the size of a horse-pill. Yesterday's lunch was a bowl of Honey Bunches of Oats with a brownie on top of it.

Mental Jukebox: RJD2 - The Horror. So catchy...so catchy...
